Nalange Safaris is an owner-run safari company based out of Maun, Botswana. We organize safari trips through all the wild spaces of Botswana, from the magnificent northern wetlands of the Okavango Delta (Moremi Game Reserve), Chobe National Park to the desert environment of the Makgadikgadi and Nxai Pan National Parks.
Nalange Safaris specializes in tailoring private authentic camping safaris at affordable rates to provide priceless experiences at a modest budget. We cater for independent travelers, private and small groups.
Led by expert local safari guide/naturalist and also owner – Tebla Mokgosi, we ensure every trip has a personal touch and pays attention to detail to ensure you do not miss the magical experience a safari to Botswana is meant to be. An avid wildlife photographer himself, Tebla will always have the shot in mind for the specialist photographer and with a strong passion for the bush our safaris also have strong emphasis on the bush and knowledge based experience.
We are also able to tailor privately guided accommodated safaris, self-drive as well as safari lodge bookings.
Our Safari Style and Vehicle and Equipment:
We offer Authentic camping experience in real adventure style Savannah Bow Tents which features the following:
- Selection of 2.1m x 2.1m / 2.5m x 2.5m and spacious 3.0m x 3.0m tents
- Directors camp chairs
- Stretchers, Bedrolls & bed linen
- Private toilet & shower.
Our safari vehicle is custom designed to ensure optimum wildlife viewing and comfort.
- Open-sides and a detachable canvas roof allows guests to enjoy a broader safari experience and feel ever closer to the nature around us.
- No separation between the driver who is the guide and the guests which allows for a constant flow of communication and learning as much as possible about the beautiful destinations and their fauna and flora.
- The safari vehicle only has 4 rows (including the front seat) that can take up to 9 people but we limit the number to 6-7 people only to ensure all guests have a window seat.
- A portable fridge/freezer to enjoy cool drinks at all times.
- Storage compartments and USB charging points.
As we camp in wild areas with no facilities or equipment, our team sets up a complete private camp for you including a mobile kitchen and dining area.
- Breakfast – cereals, bread, rusks, yoghurt, fruit salad, cold cuts, cheese, tea, coffee, milk, jams and butter.
- Lunch – variety of salads changing every day that can include: tuna salad, couscous salad, rice salad, pasta salad, etc. along with cold cuts cheese and bread.
Dinner – we cook everything on the fire and guests enjoy barbecues, stews, stir-frys, with a selection of red meat or chicken, vegetables and carbohydrates. Small treats are offered as desserts every evening.
